Finding a therapist can be hard! There’s the logistics of insurance, location, time availability, and relevant clinical expertise of course, but most research continuously shows the relationship is the most important thing. We need to be a good fit! I always recommend coming in for a session or two and we can test it out. If it doesn’t work out, that’s ok! If I think I know someone who might be a better fit, I’ll offer you a referral.

Therapeutic modalities I rely on heavily are EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). I draw from CBT, DBT, and IFS as well.
-
I completed EMDR basic training in 2022 and am currently pursuing certification. I completed the Ample and Rooted Foundations Training on eating disorders and body shame in 2023. I’ve completed continuing education coursework on EMDR with special populations, OCD and anxiety, substance use, and more!

I treat a wide variety of mental health concerns and populations. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity affirming. I’m a real person and bring that to my sessions- that means swear words, laughter, tears, and sharing in my client’s victories and struggles.
Some populations I have specialized experience with are: first responders and healthcare providers, infertility and alternative family-building, disordered eating and body image concerns, people in recovery/the sober-curious/substance users, and recovering people-pleasers!

I currently see ages 11 and up on a case by case basis. I’m not a play therapist, but I do have a great selection of fidget toys and art supplies. My adult clients love these, too!
I do not currently see couples or families.

I do! I became a believer in EMDR when I did it as a client. I try to drop pearls of wisdom from my own therapist- your grand-therapist!- in session as often as I can!
